Frantic and enjoyable.
-
63The biggest frustration with Reign of Fire is the controls themselves, which are cumbersome in either setting and dont work too well in a fast paced action title.
-
62The graphics are grainy but interesting. Sound effects are awesome, especially when concerning the dragons. Ignore the voice acting and youre good to go.
-
60The linear missions, oftentimes frustrating controls and general dreariness of the gameplay...make it all feel more like chore than entertainment.
-
It's gritty and grey, a joy to control, and above all, it's unique in its presentation, allowing the player to play as human or dragon. [Dec 2002, p.88]
-
A slightly frustrating and resolutely average game which does nothing to capitalize on its source material or distinguish itself from other games, and displays worrying signs of rushed development and technical inadequacy.
-
Every bit as average as Reign of Fire the movie. A few interesting missions save it from being a trainwreck but the visuals and controls could have used some serious work.
-
The game's biggest problem is the annoyingly sluggish controls used to navigate your jeep about the various landscapes. [15 Nov 2002, p.144]
-
25Poor graphics, poor controls, and a theme based on a bad movie makes Reign of Fire a game to avoid.

LUgIA138Barbara B. and Shawn T. ¿Are you serious players? The only thing that sucks here are your reviews. This game ROCKS!

[Anonymous]7I know that you have to beat 6 humman missions to be a dragon but the 5 level is virtually impossible but the graphics are quite good.
