The sequel doesn’t stray far from the original, but SSX Tricky has far more personality and the ultimate tricks wired—rewarding gameplay and a high replay value.
  2. One of those games that you switch on intending to have a quick blast, then find yourself staring square-eyed at in the early hours.
  3. The gameplay is hectic, the new trick system adds substantial depth, and the overall production is top-notch...But if you have a choice, the PS2 version is recommended.

It has great competitive factions, a large line-up of diverse skaters, and some of the most mind-blowing, thumb-numbing, breathtaking tricks yet seen on a console snowboarding game.
  5. The audio is great and worth listen with a Dolby pro-logic receiver, and the graphics, while flawed are truly of next-generation quality.
  6. Wonderfully addictive. [Dec 2001, p.168]
  7. For future releases in this series, it’d be nice if there were more customization options and musical selections but those are minor gripes to what was, generally, a favorable experience.
  8. Put simply, this is certainly worth giving a go if you’re looking for some high-speed thrills, death-defying leaps and gorgeous eye candy.

There are many characters you can choose, and many combos you can pull off. No matter what course, the design of nature is beautiful. If you pick this game up, I can assure you, you won't be disappointed. Full Review »

In some ways this game is still better than SSX3. They're both awesome, must-own games for any system!
