  1. While the game is a bit on the linear side, it does a fantastic job of telling an interesting original story.
  2. Lucas Arts impressed me in some areas (graphics and concept), while disappointing me in others (sound and of course you can’t forget, nauseating camera angles—I’ve ridden roller coasters more stable than the camera was!) with this title.
  3. Cheat Code Central

There's not a lot of depth to it and the gameplay is repetitive but it's still a whole lot of fun and there are enough distractions to keep you entertained and interested right until the end.
  4. Gets down to the gritty details of being a bounty hunter in Star Wars and creates an extremely fun experience for the player... Looks good, feels good, and sounds exactly like Star Wars.
  5. Oddly enough, hunting down targets isn’t integral to gameplay, it's completely optional.
  6. 83
Strong presentation and story coupled with a tight control scheme, satisfying platformer elements and huge worlds to see and conquer, more than make up for any shortcomings.
  7. Fantastic sound, great graphics and easily some of the best cinemas yet seen in a video game.
  8. 72
A painful save system demands countless restarts and all but assures general frustration. On the whole, Bounty Hunter establishes itself as a worthy, yet flawed offering.
  9. The two versions are identical in most ways, however the GC graphics are slightly better. The colours are sharper and more vibrant.
  10. Nintendo Power
    70
There's no precise way to target your prey, so shooting a single enemy from a crowd is nearly impossible. [Feb 2003, p.153]
  11. 70
The targeting system is well executed, but the camerawork is not. In enclosed areas it can go ballistic, often pointing in a direction that obscures your enemies.
  12. The main problem with Bounty Hunter is that it won’t be long before you’ve seen everything the game has to offer and it’s not the sort of adventure that you’re likely to want to play through more than once.
  13. Even though the game's overall execution leaves something to be desired, Bounty Hunter has its good points, and the GameCube version is markedly better than the PS2 release.
  14. Jango Fett is quite possibly my favorite character in the current trilogy, and I think it was an absolute genius idea to formulate a game around him... The game, on the other hand, just kind of wallows in mediocrity.
  15. 59
A flawed, boring game design that fails to capitalize on the inherent coolness of its theme and character.
  16. Game Informer

Releasing Bounty Hunter is tantamount to being held down while someone farts in your face. [Feb 2003, p.101]
  17. Well presented, but a bit uninteresting, repetitive, and limited. Most of the game is just running and shooting at enemies with the auto-targeting, which isn't amazingly fun.
  18. Entertainment Weekly
    50
The extra-large level maps offer vertiginous expanses to traverse, and since half the game forces you to zip from ledge to ledge, this leads to nagging depth-perception problems. [15 Nov 2002, p.143]
  19. I can't shake the feeling that Star Wars: Bounty Hunter started off as a grand and ambitious project that got pushed out into space before it was ready.
  20. Play Magazine
    40
Flat control, annoying fish-eye perspective, and a schizophrenic camera that never settles down. [Jan 2003, p.80]

Sure, it was linear and it was almost impossible to snag every bounty in the game without killing them, but the weapons were well-designed and the jet-pack was fun and useful without making the game too easy. The ease of the control-scheme on the GCN controller surpasses that of many Lucas Arts Games. Full Review »

Controls are great, only the camera acts a bit strange when shooting in small rooms, which are luckily quite rare. Ammo is also rare, adds a nice challenge. Not an easy game, specially towards the end.
Although there is a lot to discover, -1 point because of too short story for no multiplayer (which would've been fun). No idea why it has such bad ratings. The Gamecube version I played was technically totally fine.
