  1. Offers a brilliant mix of realistic physics and arcade-style gameplay that gives you a strong sense of both speed and control over your machine. [Nov 2004, p.131]
  2. It's big, deep and dripping with rhymes. A few framerate hits aside, it looks good, too, if not a bit excessively neon. [Oct 2004, p.75]

It delivers an authentic customization system second to none. It also lets you drive around exploring large parts of three major cities. On the other hand, it fails due to its lack of speed.
  4. When the poor sensation of speed isn't bothering you the soundtrack is.
  5. There are some decent ideas in Street Racing Syndicate, but the fairly uninspired interpretation of racing in the game makes it pretty boring overall.
  6. The only thing that will keep you coming back to this game is the garage, not the racing. If you dream of building up an unstoppable marvel of automotive ingenuity, then this game is for you. If you want Vin Diesel's skills to rub off, it won't happen here.
  7. The bitter irony of this game is that, despite the purpose of videogames being to relieve one from boredom, this one will actually drive you further into the depths of tedium.
