  • Summary: In TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, humanity is on the brink of destruction by the evil TimeSplitters. With the help of some familiar faces, Cortez--the tough hero from previous installments--must chase a mystery foe across different time periods to trace the origins of the TimeSplitters. As Cortez, you'll have access to weapons, gadgets, characters, and environments that are unique to each time period. You can also correct the mistakes made in the past or team up with past and future versions of yourself in battles. Expand

  1. Everything it promises to be: an old-school shooter with a zany, slightly raunchy style that you really won't find anywhere else.
  2. Future Perfect has the perfect blend of challenges and the best multiplayer gameplay around.
  3. The lack of jumping is the missing piece in an otherwise perfect title. [May 2005, p.89]
  4. What clever things Future Perfect does within its trek-across-the-time-continuum framework... It works in the only way it can: with a whole lot of humor. [April 2005, p.115]
  5. What this game contains that is totally removed from everything else out there is a quirky, infectious, humorous character, one that seems to deeply reflect the personality of its makers. When you play it, you really sense a stamp of originality and zany flavor in its presentation and structure. [March 2005, p.48]

Sometimes it feels like the game plays more like Bungie's first-person shooter, "Halo," than "GoldenEye," however, which is somewhat of a surprise considering the last two TimeSplitters games followed very closely in "GoldenEye's" footsteps.
  7. The lack of any online play hurts the Gamecube version only, once again making it the version to avoid if you have multiple consoles. The future looks good, but far from perfect.

This game rocks man! It is way better than Halo and Halo2 because it has a better multiplayer, better characters and both Halos don't have a mapmaker! Halo copied the first TimeSplitters with the 16 player, they suck!! Expand

I think this game is going to rock but it will be better if gamecube could also have internet play.

The best split screen FPS game for the Gamecube and Wii, no doubt, and debatably one of the best multiplayer of all time. With a very large variety of multiplayer modes, characters, weapons, stages, and missions, it's easy to recommend. If you don't have 1-3 other players to play with, the single player is almost as good. A map maker and multiplayer bots do the job. I would reccomend this to all who are interested in a new FPS game, and are also interested in solid multiplayer. Expand
