  1. The sickest shooter this side of Xbox killer app "Halo."

A decent next phase for Turok.
  3. If the developers concentrated on refining the action and devising even more creative ways to destroy, I would've loved Turok. [Nov 2002, p.133]
  4. 70
Lacking innovation, the repetitive gameplay will only appease fans of the series, but the multiplayer mode makes it worth a look.
  5. The developer’s weariness with the franchise was accentuated by the drastic difference in quality between the flight and ground missions. The actual shooting in this FPS is only half complete, and it was greatly overshadowed by the in-game flying.
  6. It suffers from average-at-best graphics, questionable sound effect and voice-over quality and the longest load times of any GameCube game I've ever played.
  7. Load times in the game are unbearable. It takes one full minute just to load the options menu. No joke...Turok Evolution screams two words: rush job.

I bought it for $10 !! and I played it for 6 straight hours after I got it. The only complaint that I have is you can't save during a mission so you'll have to keep on killing the same tigers again and again ! 9.... Collapse

Expand

What a horrible, horrible game. Who in their right mind could compare this to Halo? Someone who smokes crack, that's who. The controls are godWhat a horrible, horrible game. Who in their right mind could compare this to Halo? Someone who smokes crack, that's who. The controls are god awful, no seriously, down moves the camera up and up moves the camera down, WHO PROGRAMS LIKE THIS? It's horrible!! The attacks are hilariously slow and pathetic. He looks like he is trying to tenderize a filet rather than kill a living thing. The story is abysmal, is there even one? The game is extremely linear on a system where it should be anything BUT linear. This game fails on every front imaginable except one: somewhat realistic looking dinosaurs. I seriously think that is all the developers focused on--having realistic dinosaur models and screw everything else. Even with all the fault's of the Nintendo 64's Turok 2, this game makes Turok 2 look like a masterpiece. What a pile of cow dung. Expand
