  1. A great pick up and play game, and the Quick Start mode means you can have a fast twenty minute game if you want, or get stuck into Campaign or multiplayer instead.
  2. Whether it's better than the old 2D games will come more down to personal preference, but it's a welcome twist on the old formula that opens up far more tactical options than ever before.
  3. Worms 3D’s major problem is that it is in 3D. The uninspired camera and technical oversights, such as the inability to use multiple controllers, prevent the game from receiving an especially high score. However, the game does offer loads of fun if you can get past the flaws.
  4. The old-timers out there may find that though the transition to 3D is novel, it doesn't really have much impact on the overall experience.
  5. The game is every bit as charming and addictive as its predecessors. [May 2004, p.120]

I think I prefer the 2D battlefield to the 3D one just because it seems to be all around more intuitive.

The use of the third dimension with a few of the special weapons is a bright point in what is mostly an uninspired, placid and, in the main, perplexing experience.

Great fun, the only thing that bothers is that its hard to master. But if your into it, you can't get out of it. A great game, good graphics, nice gameplay and high replay. Expand

True, it's not traditional worms. True, the controls are tough to get used to. But once you (a) get over it and (b) get used to it, there's no better worms. Expand

The camera takes getting used to and it crashed on me a couple times but otherwise very fun. I'm a fan of Worms World Party and while this isn't quite as fun as that, it's still enjoyable, especially in two player mode. I did miss not being able to tunnel but that's life. If you like the Worms games, it is worth checking out. Expand
