  • Summary: Welcome to Hong Kong, where mystery and intrigue, money and power, and East and West intermingle. As the Yakuza terrorizes citizens, you arrive on the scene to answer the call of the city. You'll command an elite police unit called the Dragons, or you can play as a couple of spies hired to defeat Tiger Takagi--the head of the Hong Kong Yakuza. In 40 wild missions, you'll fire at moving targets with car-mounted rocket launchers, maneuver through the destructive environments, and experience real-time crashes and vehicle deformation. Expand

  1. At the end of the day, I found myself coming back to this version of Wreckless (over the Xbox version) because it has more options and winds up being more fun (even though there’s still some frustration to cut through). I know I seem to be in a minority, but I still liked Wreckless.
  2. The story loses something in its translation from Japanese, but the game play is still crazy fun. [Feb 2003, p.155]
  3. While it doesn't look nearly as good as it did on Xbox, it plays a lot better on the 'Cube with added difficulty, all-new adventures (including Dragon romps) and rocket power! [Dec 2002, p.84]
  4. The biggest gripe I have is that the game lacks analog control over acceleration and braking.
  5. 54
Without the gorgeous visuals to distract from its troublesome gameplay mechanics and simplistic mission objectives, Wreckless doesn't have much going for it.
  6. 25
All told, I wouldn't wish this game on my worst enemy. [Jan 2003, p.61]

This game isn't all too bad. I find the story to be a bit bland, but the gameplay can is fun, and exciting. I enjoy the varied amount of vehicles a lot. I was dissapointed by the multiplayer. I thought it was new, but not really...fun...at all. This early next generation game is pretty good. Expand

The missions in Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions are okay but they are pointless after you complete them with a gold star. The graphics and controls are okay, but I didn't care for the story and the multi-player is pointless. Expand

Complete garbage, truly the worst game I've ever played. When I played I just about barfed all over my GameCube. Don't waste your time on this game instead pick up a game like The Wind Waker. Expand
