It really does grow on you, and once you get past the ridiculous premise you end up with a decent poor-man’s "Twisted Metal" that’s worth the budget price and not much more.
  2. It is arena-driving, shoot-‘em-up action, but the game fails in the department of chills or thrills.

It's extremely simple, so don't expect to keep this one spinning into the summer months, but it does manage to fill a gamer's need to race around madly and blow things up.
  4. What sucks balls is the fact that only two people can play at a time. That's bull.

The premise is fun and the play control is good, but the driving physics are so incredibly unrealistic that the game loses its edge once the action begins. [June 2003, p.137]

An audio and visual mess, bottom line.

It's easy, basic, kill them all fun. I had a fun time by myself, and a real competitive fun time with my friends. I just don't understand how this game ties into the WWE liscense. If wrestling wasn't involved, it would probably be a better game, without those stupid 1-liners. Expand

If you are looking for a Twisted Metal game for the Gamecube, buy this. It is mindless, destructive fun. It isn't mentally stimulating, but it's a video game. It's a good way to take out the day's frustrations. Turn down the commentators (because they are insipid imbeciles), and pretend that it's your boss in those cars - just don't expet wrestling in this thing...it's a car game afterall. Expand
