  • Summary: Hit the ropes against WWE's top superstars in WWE Day of Reckoning, which features an all-new story mode filled with deception and betrayal. As your own created wrestler, you can rise up the ranks from the "minor leagues" of sports entertainment all the way to prime-time WWE programming. You can choose your favorite WWE Divas and go head-to-head in a Bra & Panties match. Each wrestling star, including Legends, can target specific body parts to wear down opponents. Expand

  1. There really is a good, solid wrestling simulation under all the brashness of the WWE. Finally the GameCube gets something to properly rival the "Smackdowns" on the PS2.
  2. Easily the best wrestling game to grace a GameCube, the visuals are nice, the animations are slick, there's little to no clipping (amazing!), and it has enough depth for even the hardest core wrestling nut.
  3. Speaking of control, Yuke's has finely tuned the game's engine in order to create a faster, smoother, and richer gameplay experience... Simply the best WWE title on the Nintendo GameCube to date.
  4. Day of Reckoning is an absolutely crucial addition to the games collection of any fan of WWE.
  5. Production values have also improved, with graphics and sounds like those of WWE TV, though dialogue is not voiced. [Nov 2004, p.130]
  6. Day of Reckoning had the potential to be a superb game, but was held back by a lack of several things, such as a strong roster, voice-overs, and a strong Story mode, as well as its buggy AI.

A huge disappointment. After "Wrestlemania 19" I was really expecting something special from this, but it retains everything that was bad about that game and merely covers them over with prettier graphics and a few new modes. Time to continue praying again for the return of AKI.

This game is the best wrestling game gamecube has to offer!!! Very good graphics and awsome story mode!!! The create a Superstar mode is very great!!! Awsome moves and the momentum shift is very helpful. The new Bra and Panties matches rule! If you have a gamecube and you looking for a wrestling game, then this is the game! By the way, Diva rule! I love you Trish Stratus! Expand

As john cena would say this is basic thuganomics, this is basic wrestlenomics, i simply think that this is one of the best wresling games ive ever played. The controls are easy to get use to as are the reversals, it has john cena (yes!!) and the dead man undertaker. The lack of a few superstars didn't make me like the game anyless. The CAW mode is saweet, you even get to put in your own camera angles to really personalize it. There is finally a good music selection on a wrestling game and not the same old crap. Breaking Benjamins firefly was a great choice to put as background music. P.S. John Cena is the man. Expand

This game is tight! The graphics are outstanding and the gameplay is almost similar to WWF No Mercy, but faster. The story is also great and the sound is awesome. Almost the best WWE game for the Gamecube, pure fun. Expand

a great CAW mode, but the lack of wrestlers (and the lovely lita) leaves a lot 2 be desired.

A very solid title, but what's with the stupid, spoonfed storyline and all of the special match types?
