Another entry in the crowded field of alchemy games, Alchemy Evolution promises a different game, but generally doesn't deliver. It shares many similarities with other, older alchemy games like Doodle God, frequently to the point where it seems either strongly derivative or an outright clone. User interface is practically identical, so the design and implementation is smooth and easy to use. Overall, Alchemy Evolution is Doodle God with some superficial changes and graphical variations...and one big change. AE strongly pushes the dreaded IAP -- In-App Purchases -- of tools and hints. Essentially, whereas other games allow the player to earn bonuses, AE demands players pay real money for them. This, by itself, takes its rating down sharply. Its derivative nature does the rest.
