Its biggest strength and weakness is in its diversity and although it'd be nice if it took a little more time with its more innovative mechanics, the fact most every level is wholly its own is a decent trade-off, even if it does feel like some great ideas get left behind.
Blobster manages to carve out its own space in the platform genre on the App Store, thanks to an enjoyable gameplay and a good number of well-designed levels.
A charming platformer with a cute main character, intuitive controls, and great level variety, Blobster should easily appeal to gamers of all shapes and sizes.
While slinging Blobster around the game's levels, watching him bounce all over the place, it really feels like one's playing with a toy, rather than simply controlling another video game character. This is what makes Blobster a unique, stand-out platformer.
Blobster is a run-of-the-mill platformer that satisfies the platforming itch.
A solid platform game that is well worth picking up despite falling just short in its slingshot leap towards greatness.
Blobster is a well made platformer, just not one that will likely interest teenagers or adults.
