Bombcats may have a more cuddly appearance than the developer's past titles, but the impeccable design behind its puzzles stands out as some of Radiangames's best work yet.

Bombcats is a good game brought down by a couple bad design decisions, but it’s still worth picking up if you need more physics-based animal launchers in your life. The game does provide the option to skip a level every two hours, but it would have made a lot more sense to just not have levels the player was going to want to skip. Meow.

I never would've expected blowing up cats to be so much fun, that that's exactly what Bombcats is all about. It's full of challenging levels, cute kitties, unlockable extras, and can be incredibly hard to put down.

Bombcats isn't just another physics puzzler, then, but there's no getting away from the fact that it is just one more addition to a very large pile of like-minded games. With that said, and taken on its own merits, this is a perfectly polished title that offers up some much-needed variety for fans of the genre. It's not a revolution, and it's certainly not the game long-term fans of the studio would have been hoping for, but Bomb Cats certainly knows how to scratch any time-killing itch you have.

Despite these shortcomings, Bombcats is cute, unique, and fun. It's definitely a recommended download for physics-based puzzle enthusiasts – even if you're a traitor who loves dogs more than cats.

Bombcats (Free, Universal) isn't the most deluxe game in the App Store, but it's straightforward cute fun that is worth picking up.

Clever, brilliantly designed, and dripping with new ideas, Bombcats is a great addition to the animal-flinging genre.

We've got the feeling we've seen this game before, but still is fun, and if you like the genre it's worth a try.
