A fun and slightly quirky puzzle game paying homage to a meme without providing enough features to make replay worthwhile.

More levels, especially more challenging ones, and improved controls would make this game a lot better. As it is, Burger Cat needs a bit more seasoning.

A neat central idea, held together by some decent level design, Burger Cat is let down by some sloppy controls and a few bad decisions.

It finds itself solidly in the middle ground, somewhat mired in a few weird design choices and the lack of any kind of innovation. It just sort of exists. It most likely won't offend the people that decide to play it, but it won't stand out or be memorable for them either.

Burger Cat doesn't feel as tight as Ravenous Games' previous releases, and while it still provides some moments of puzzling fun, they're hampered by the game's limited interface.

Standing in stark contrast to their hardcore speedrun platformer series League of Evil, Burger Cat is an ultracasual, challenge-deprived option for the iOS-toting youngsters in our midst.

Even if they don't, though, Burger Cat is a wonderful puzzler starring a character we hope makes a second appearance, be it sequel, spinoff or even apparel; a Burger Cat-branded chef's apron springs to mind. For now, spend the $0.99 and enjoy one of the App Store's best, and make sure you invite us over for some burgers in June.
