The game works very well on the iPad air and is buttery smooth. The game has nice graphics and the controls work well for a first person shooter title (they often don't). The strategic top down mode adds a ton to the gameplay and strategy to the missions which is really fun to use. The survival missions add a lot of replay value and are really fun. The game does lack multiplayer which a lot of people will be surprised by considering this is COD but the game wouldn't really be suited to multiplayer anyway and is very focused on the single player experience which is excels at. Anyone who was expecting CoD on their iPad is just unrealistic it's a touchscreen device! I LOVE this game, with the third-person perspective and extra strategy elements. I think it perfectly fits the platform. Yes, multiplayer would be nice, but in and of itself, this game is great!

Call of Duty Strike Team has tons of cool features such as twos ways to play, either overtop tactical views or traditional FPS, Unlock and upgrade your guns and gear as you progress through the campaign storyline, One of the best FPS storylines for a mobile fps. Performs silky smooth as any FPS should,Play in both the campaign or survival mode. Check out the full review here:

An interesting attempt to appease both FPS and TBS fans which fails on both counts. [Dec 2013, p.74]

Call of Duty: Strike Team is overall a decent title, but considering the price of almost €6, the absence of a multiplayer mode and the lack of customization and choice of weapons, the shortcomings are certainly considerable.

Call of Duty: Strike Team is another example of how shooters don't work on a smartphone. Shooting is sluggish and slow, which has you relying on auto-aiming throughout the entire game. The uninspired story is just as boring as the gameplay, which won't have you clamoring for more. The RTS-elements could offer some form of redemption, but these hardly work because of the average controls.
