  • Summary: Play as Captain America and lead your S.H.I.E.L.D. Strike Team as they struggle to contain a massive global attack by several nefarious criminal organizations. Stop the attacks and then take the battle to your enemies.

Still, you’re getting a hell of a deal for only $2.99, so I cannot recommend Captain America: The Winter Soldier – The Official Game enough, especially if you’re a fan of the comics or the movies

A good action game, with plenty of missions and unlockables, but it suffers from some bad interface choices and mediocre controls.

A loyal reader told me I overrated Thor: The Dark World, and while this game is better, it’s not by much. That leaves me in much the same place, lamenting that while this game looks like the proper companion experience to the sure-to-be-awesome movie, it’s just a bit underwhelming. Guess I’ll keep hoping.

Captain America hits the AppStore and Google Play as a touch brawler with some issues in its gameplay and development but with interesting comic art style. Unfortunately, the In-App purchases are included in the game.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a title featuring a good graphical style, inspired by the comic books and with extremely simple controls. These, however, turn out to be way too simple, and the gameplay is way too repetitive.

Another blockbuster movie, another disappointing movie tie-in game. Captain America: The Winter Soldier - The Official Game wears out its welcome before you can even finish saying the title.

Go and see the film, dress up like your favourite superhero and, hell, cry like a baby if you ever see Chris Evans in the street. If you happen to run into anyone from Gameloft, however, maybe give them a piece of your mind instead. Or ask for your moola back.
