An accurate representation of the physical board game, Catan tasks the players with building settlements and collecting resources in a bid to expand their empires and collect victory points.

I've been having a great time with Catan, although I was disappointed with the lack of anything other than hot seat multiplayer.
  3. Feb 5, 2011
A reasonably simple game with some hidden depth. If your current chess or RTS game is all played out, Catan should be next on your list.

The great tutorial will get you into the general flow of the game, but it will not lead you all the way through the woods. That takes actual playing, which is fun.

You might enjoy this version if you're already a fan of Settlers of Catan, but newbies should start with the board game.
