Developed by Wicked Witch and published by Chillingo, Catapult King marries the popular "flinging-and-flattening" gameplay with a slick 3D presentation that, once again, manages to occupy a significantly greater portion of my attention than expected.

Catapult King may not be the king of catapult games, but once you start to delve in to its harder challenges you'll be glad the controls provide you with the finesse needed to complete them.

With 64 levels to play and more promised on the way, Catapult King really does give you a lot to do. And that's before you mention the dragon fights that come later down the line. Wait, did I mention those?

Catapult King is what it aspires to be: an entertaining and enjoyable game, with an interesting progression and good difficulty curve. It takes the concept brough by Angry Birds and gives it a new perspective and 3D graphics. A fresh alternative with a medieval setting, but not a revolutionary game.

If you're into physics-puzzlers and haven't tried one in 3D, this is a good place to start.
  6. Jun 18, 2012
Catapult King does a fine job at bringing the popular physics puzzler genre to 3D, and even if it doesn't really do much more to move the genre in a new direction it's a fun game to play.

It will get frustrating at times -- particularly in some of the larger levels -- but all in all it's an enjoyable take on the slingshot (or catapult, in this case) mechanic.
