    Chip Chain makes for a good little portable distraction, but the cheap unlock scheme for the game modes is annoying. If you can put up with the random modes each day and are patient enough to put in the time it will take to unlock everything for free, you'll have fun with the game.

    Chip Chain neatly avoids any excessive in-app purchasing problems. It's a high quality game without it. Sure, it might not be the most attractive of games to look at, but there's a heap of fun here for Match Three fans looking for something with a bit more strategy.

    The fact that it is actually possible to earn enough currency to unlock everything makes Chip Chain unique among free-to-play games, to the delight of players. All of it leads back to a satisfying core matching game that will keep players glued to their touchscreens for a long time to come.
