A cute casual game that packs a great deal of strategy and fun into a tiny package.

It's nice to see Om Nom finally freed from the boxes, and the professor has the potential to add a bit more storyline to the series. But if you're looking for something that changes up the formula, significantly expands on the original or otherwise feels brand new, you won't find it here.

A fun sequel, full of great ideas and changes in gameplay, that repeates the success of the first game. A simple and addictive aplication recommended for those who played the first one or newcomers who want to try something fun.

Experiments feels more like a straightforward level pack than a bona-fide sequel - and one that most players will blitz through in no time.

It's true, Cut the Rope: Experiments doesn't introduce any revolution on the successful formula of its predecessor, but that's a good think, since the previous episode is quite simply on of the funniest games on the AppStore. After they added in time dozens of new levels to the original Cut the Rope for free, it's perfectly reasonable to see these new puzzles introduced as a new release with a small price. Only downside may be that it is relatively simple to complete it for the expert players, but it's still much better than games that impose an unbearable difficulty just to cover the lack of actual content.
In my personal opinion, much funnier than Angry Birds and more engaging than Tiny Wings: if you are looking for something simple, cute, entertaining and addictive at a very small price, look no further.

  2. And following the original "Cut The Rope," we have "Cute The Rope: Experiments." A very nice sequel to the original, adding in a new twist to the story. In the hands of a mad (but not bad) scientist, you play a series of "experiments" where, just like the first one, you have to feed "Om Nom" tons of candy. Clean graphics, new puzzles, and simple, yet fun gameplay, makes this one a must get. It earns a 9 from me. Expand

I'm a bit thorn because after playing original CtR it's very hard not to feel a slight deja vu :) But if you played it you may not want to play it all over again even though that those levels have been cleverly tweaked by new toys. BUT if you (by any chance) didn't played a lot CtR this is (imho) a better version of the original. -1 for selling this as a new product rather than a DLC or an update. Expand
  4. Same as the first, but is more challenging and has different scenery. You need some thinking to complete the levels. It's cheap and works well as a puzzle game. My score: 78/100 Expand
