Bottom line, Cut the Rope HD is one of the best games for Apple's iOS and a steal at $1.99. Play it immediately.

In Cut the Rope the rating system is implemented in such a way that I was really motivated to think through puzzles to figure out the best way to earn all three stars. This, combined with gorgeous art and a wonderfully realistic gravity-driven engine, makes Cut the Rope a fine iPhone/iPad release, and one that I wouldn't be surprised in the least bit if it does in fact become the next Angry Birds.

Cut the Rope HD is fun, adorable, clever, and enjoyable. Hands down, it's one of the best casual games available for the iPad.
  4. Feb 1, 2011
Cut the Rope HD requires a bit of thought, planning, timing, and even some dexterity. It might even be original enough to give Angry Birds a run for its money.
  5. Mar 2, 2011
Cut the Rope HD's level design is brilliant. The game frequently introduces new play mechanics and can squeeze enough mileage out of a single idea to fill several levels without getting repetitive.

Cut the Rope is ingenious, following a similar formula to Angry Birds – charming graphics, simple gameplay that gets complexity steadily layered on top of it in a way that feels natural, almost without even feeling like it's getting more difficult.
