Considering this is essentially a remix of a three year old PSP and arcade game I would have expected this game to be priced lower. Having said that, you get what you pay for, and even at a higher price I would argue that it's worth every penny.

My super-annoying technical issues aside, DARIUSBURST SP is still a very good-looking and well-made shmup. Whether or not it's worth the $10.99 will depend on the individual and their love of shooting space crustaceans, but it's certainly a solid effort.

Dariusburst SP is an excellent shooter, packed with three different game modes, alternate routes and endings, great graphics and music. What a pity the touch controls don't let you cover the entire screen with a single slide.

A classical schmup with a branching story path and refined controls. Worth the price of admission for the soundtrack alone.

With its forgettable competence, Dariusburst very nearly turned me off of the entire genre of iPad shmups.
