  • Summary: Don't Look Back is a short game I made in 2009.Some reviews of the original version:"A perfect example of doing more with less" - The Escapist"Every game with a lead character necessarily has a moral. Every single one. It's just rare that the moral is so uplifting." -Don't Look Back is a short game I made in 2009.Some reviews of the original version:"A perfect example of doing more with less" - The Escapist"Every game with a lead character necessarily has a moral. The transition to mobile hasn't been seamless, as the touch controls make it that much trickier, but it's just as elegant a way to tell a story through gameplay as it was three years ago.

Diehard, mobile-owning Cavanagh fans won't think twice about downloading Don't Look Back, and they're quite right to do so. While we can't help but shudder at the thought of playing the teased VVVVV on mobiles, we'd far rather Cavanagh had a chance to acclimatize to touchscreen controls before embarking on what will likely be his most high-profile mobile endeavor.

Though it's extremely short, Don't Look Back sports an effective mix of rich atmosphere and pinpoint platforming - and it's free to boot.

A bunch of edgy red pixels stole my afternoon giving me fun, frustration, rage, exaltation.
Plus, the whole concept and plot felt way more
A bunch of edgy red pixels stole my afternoon giving me fun, frustration, rage, exaltation.
Plus, the whole concept and plot felt way more deep than the average big-title AAA game.
Do I need to say more? I don't think so.

I really fall in love with this one.Its a minimalistic game with a simple story and a simple pixel graphic. But for such a minimalistic game itI really fall in love with this one.Its a minimalistic game with a simple story and a simple pixel graphic. But for such a minimalistic game it gives you many things back.It appeals to your fantasy. The sound design is amazing. The Touch steering is a bit hard but when you have a flow it gives you a very good feeling.
All in all its a very good and interesting game for free.
