Fallen could potentially become a great franchise as more episodes are delivered, but a few things, especially the jumpy camera angle changes and poorly translated dialogue, could stand to be improved.
Some visual glitches, disjointed dialogue and lacklustre combat thankfully don't manage to entirely spoil an atmospheric, visually impressive horror romp.

I really like what Fallen is trying to do. I like its premise and direction -- it's just that the game is let down in its execution.
Fallen: Episode 1 shows that a good survival horror game is possible on the iPhone. If the developers can lengthen the experience, craft a more compelling story, and improve the combat segments for the next episode, Fallen could be worth exploring more.
The approach to gameplay feels about ten-years old. As in early Resident Evil games, players will often find the simple act of walking through a room cumbersome.
Actually I am not too interested in playing anymore Fallen as I don't care about Roman Mendez the running Hispanic maniac, am highly annoyed at the collision detection environmental bugs, and feel that the story doesn't go anywhere.
