A solid and entertaining title, just not an exceptional one.

Frogger Decades is an enjoyable reimagining of a gaming classic.

Frogger Decades is a valiant and somewhat successful attempt to make Frogger work today, but not all games are meant to last 30 years.

Frogger Decades takes the classic Frogger gameplay and creates a campaign out of it, but even though the various additions are neat, the game might have suffered less if the character had stuck to just jumping.

The best Frogger game in ages (or should that be decades?), this attractive and enjoyable arcade romp packs in gorgeous visuals, impeccable presentation and plenty of hard-as-nails gameplay. Just be prepared for the odd moment of intense frustration.

Frogger Decades is the sort of game that Frogger fans have been waiting years for. Heck – maybe even decades. But it's also a game that offers up a tremendous amount of challenge, so the easily frustrated need not apply. Still, if you've got the skills and the patience needed, Frogger Decades simply doesn't disappoint.

It's enjoyable in parts but the widely-placed checkpoints are tedious when you're on your tenth ill-judged leap. [Dec 2011, p.93]

With its modern presentation and expanded gameplay, Frogger Decades is a Frogger sequel that's actually worth playing. But just be sure you're ready for a challenge, as the titular frog will get squished many, many times before you manage to find his birthday surprise.
