There are few games that can claim the depth of gameplay and the polished experience that Frozen Synapse presents. Strategy fans should rejoice.

Frozen Synapse on iPad offers everything that made the PC original great, along with multiplayer support between the iPad and PC. Those looking for deep strategy on the go need to look no further.

A natural fit for the large touch screen, we are beyond thrilled to finally satisfy our tactical fix on the go.
  4. May 17, 2013
A premiere strategy experience for the iPad, primarily focused on multiplayer, whose touch controls create a more engaging experience than its PC counterpart.
  5. May 20, 2013
If just one of Frozen Synapse’s many game modes was available on iPad, it would be one of the most original and rewarding tactical experiences on the platform. With everything else on offer, itmay just be the One.

This great indie port flops turn-based strategy on its head with delightful asynchronous chaos and intense multiplayer matches.
  7. May 16, 2013
Frozen Synapse does so many things right on iPad: Single player, multiplayer, and the thoughtful tactical gameplay that is consistent in both modes. If you have any fondness for tactical games, don’t hesitate before jumping headfirst into Frozen Synapse.

Frozen Synapse has great gameplay thanks to a wealth of options that make for deep, turn-based combat. The fights are addicting, but it isn't visually amazing, despite the charm of the neon colors. The amazing soundtrack, great controls and excellent multiplayer make this an awesome game on iOS devices.

The slightly weird PC strategy game has crept onto the iPad and made itself right at home.
  10. May 20, 2013
You have to work hard to penetrate the unfriendly surface of Frozen Synapse, not just because of the depth of strategy, but also a rather unfortunate disregard for the early days of the eager but uncertain newcomer. Persevere though, and you'll be rewarded with one of the finest tactical games you can get for your tablet.
  11. May 16, 2013
Frozen Synapse succeeds at bringing a beloved PC game to iOS.
  12. May 16, 2013
A very good port of an excellent strategy game, Frozen Synapse is equally gripping whether your opponents are human or otherwise.
  13. May 29, 2013
Frozen Synapse requires a bit of time to adequately pull off a mission, since learning all of the squad’s commands and finding a strategy that works just doesn’t happen within minutes.
  14. May 21, 2013
Frozen Synapse ($6.99, iPad) is stuck in the past with layers of frustration covering the strategy filled gameplay making it one to strategically avoid. Sadly, the game is frozen in time, and just isn’t made for the iPad era.

Casual gamers beware! Frozen Synapse is a game that will challenge your ability to formulate tactics that lead you to victory. A great change of pace in comparison to other easier games available; and with a user interface that is superior to that of the PC, and potentially endless replay value due to a random level generator, you really shouldn't let this one slip past you. The best way to explain this game is, it is essentially a complex game of chess. It really tests ones ability to strategize and to out-smart the opponent. If you enjoy a game that puts your mind to the test, I could not recommend this game more. But if you are a casual gamer that does not enjoy much of a challenge, then I guarantee this would be a waste of your time and a major cause of frustration. Full Review »
