Absolutely beautiful and an amazing experience. It becomes a 3d plat former worthy of many of the best in the genre and possibly one of the best games on iPad. It also is a lot longer than many of the games out there.

Gears the clue is in the title, your mission is to guide a ball around levels collecting emblems, and racking up points, as fast as you can handle. The game is split into 3 differently themed worlds, brimming with colour, and gradually harder challenges as you edge forward. Their is no denying the game is quite short, but the experience is quite enjoyable nonetheless. You get to choose from 2 types of controls, slide to move, or a more difficult tilt to move, providing a little more challenge if that's what your looking for, and while your at it you can check out the highscores on gamecentre, it's not going to be everyone's chai latte, but The kind of game you can re-visit to beat your times. Sometimes frustrates, but more-often-than-not lures you back for more. [Aug 2011, p.95]

Gears is a fun psychedelic puzzle game; it won't become a best seller, but lovers of the genre should buy it without hesitation.

Like the equally awesome Dark Nebula, Gears pitches the challenge perfectly, and gives you that one-more-go feeling without also instilling the need to lie down in a darkened room afterwards. When developers make games this good, it's only right and proper to reward them with cold, hard cash.
