Overall, I strongly recommend Hector: Badge of Carnage to anyone who doesn't mind their comedy getting a little bit filthy.
Beyond Reasonable Doom, along with the whole Hector trilogy, is hilarious and well worth a look for any fan of British humour or classic adventure games.
Still funny and absurd; as ridiculous as it is clever. It is an interesting throwback to adventure games, creating an odd bunch of characters to interact with, even though it never properly demonstrates the danger that the town is said to be in.
Hector:
Badge of Carnage is a proof that Telltale Games knows a bit or two
about mischief, and that Northern Ireland is home to talented
foul-mouthed jokesmiths. Unfortunately, the combination of these two
forces does not necessarily result in a brilliant adventure game.
Though this is a solid finale for an enjoyable trilogy of adventure games, it does feel a bit like playing through the final five hours of a good game that is exactly five hours too long. The freshness that the series initially offered is gone, replaced with predictability and a certain staleness.
This is getting really old.
