Jack Lumber is a mythic, larger-than-life character who could be the App Store's modern-day Paul Bunyan.

Jack Lumber is completely ridiculous and I love it. It's easy to pick up and play, has plenty of laughs, and actually has a great number of levels to go along with it. Put on some flannel, grow out that beard, and chop some wood.

If you're a fan of Fruit Ninja, you will love Jack Lumber.

Jack Lumber is a simple game but it works and it's fun and entertaining, so it's pretty much everything we can ask for. This universal app for both iPod/iPhone and iPad will definitely keep you playing, even though maybe for a slightly short time.

It remains disarmingly single-minded throughout, yet any repetition is offset by intuitive, precise controls, and satisfying audiovisual feedback.

I'm still sitting here bleary-eyed, blister on my finger, totally satisfied for having played this game way past the time I should be in bed.

Jack Lumber is quirky, stylized, and unlike anything on iOS. And yet it's very welcoming, very warm - not what you'd expect from a game starring a one-man eco-pocalypse.
