Good games are fun, but great games are also educational. And with Learn The Alphabet (the ABC's) your kids will have fun while also learning the alphabet. Designed for kids ages 2+.
There are two modes to the application:
--Practice Session - When in practice session mode, the keys are in alphabetical order. Pressing a key states the letter pressed. This mode enables young children to begin to learn the letters of the alphabet and their correct order.
--Game - Pressing the Start key, will begin the game. The letters will be randomly scrambled and the timer will start. The goal of the game is to put the keys back in their proper alphabetical order. Using their fingers, the player will drag a key to its proper location which will swap it with the current key. The game is over once all letters have been put in their correct alphabetical order.
Pressing the Hint key will cause two out of order keys that need to be swapped to flash. This allows the child to get help when they get stuck.
Upon the completion of the game a trophy and shooting stars will be awarded based on the number of Hints the player needed and also on how many Bad Swaps were attempted during the game. The following trophies are assigned based on these values:
Gold Genius Trophy - 5 Shooting Stars - No Hints and No Bad Swaps
Super Star Trophy - 3 Shooting Stars - 0 or 1 Hints and 0 to 2 Bad Swaps
Whiz Kid Trophy - 1 Shooting Star - 0 to 2 Hints and 0 to 4 Bad Swaps
Plain Trophy - 0 Shooting Stars - Any number of Hints and Bad Swaps
