If you don’t mind a virtual joystick, getting a complete console game for use on your phone for $5 is a sweet deal. The levels certainly aren’t meant for mobile play, but it’s not the kind of game that causes you to frequently lose your place either.

Aside from the awkward controls, LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes is a wonderful achievement on iOS, giving players a complete game experience that they can play anywhere.

Brought to the iDevices from the folks at Warner Bros., LEGO Batman offers a ton of playable characters from the DC universe to battle the likes of Lex Luthor and The Joker for the good of Gotham City.

I cannot stress enough just how much fun I’ve been having with LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes. It’s the LEGO game I’ve apparently always wanted: perfectly sized levels, tons of hidden stuff, and even more unlockables (80 playable characters!). It’s time to pick up some wonderful toys.

With nice graphics, a light-hearted soundtrack, tons of bonus contents and, last but not least, a reasonable and not invasive iAP system, LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes is not just a wonderful porting, but one of the most interesting entries in Cupertino’s Store.

Aside from some occasionally irksome controls, Lego Batman: DC Super Heroes proves that the tried-and-tested Lego formula can work on almost any device.

Suffice to say, LEGO fans have little reason not to check out DC Super Heroes, while anyone else interested in a light-hearted adventure should take the plunge.

Lego Batman: DC Super Heroes ($4.99, Universal) delivers what makes the Lego video game series great to iOS with great polish and style making it a should buy.

It's Lego Batman 2 on the iOS. If you love the lego games and want an iOS version, this is a no brainer. For the rest, it's a solid action adventure title with imperfect controls.

LEGO Batman: DC Superheroes is a little rough around the edges, but this is a near console level quality game that is an absolute joy to play.

Despite control quirks, LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes delivers console-quality visuals and tons of variety to bolster its familiar-but-fun smash, build, and puzzle gameplay.

Still, if you managed to overcome any of the control scheme shortcomings in previous touchscreen LEGO games, then you have nothing to worry about in this latest release. In terms of content, characters, and all of the many charms the series has become famous for, Batman DC Superheroes delivers one of the better mobile LEGO experiences.
