At its core, Lock 'n' Load is an average dual-stick shooter. However, it's executed in such an above-average way that complaints like that cease to matter. Plus, in one section players control a grandma with guns strapped to her wheelchair. Who wouldn't want to play that?

Featuring a variety of enemy types, oversaturated graphics, upgradeable attributes, and a few mini-games to boot, Lock 'N' Load provides a wacky, quip-filled adventure that kept us entertained.

A splendidly stupid shooter, Lock 'n' Load successfully mixes cartoon violence and a pleasantly heavy shooting mechanic to great effect.

Even if you have an adverse reaction to IAP, Lock 'n' Load still offers a decent amount of content with more that can be eventually unlocked (even if it takes a long time).

What makes Lock'n'Load distinctive is its comical outlook. [July 2012, p.93]

Lock n' Load is a fun and goofy take on twin-stick shooting, with a nicely cartoonish look and plenty of action.

For the most part, though, Lock 'n' Load provides several hours of dark, twisted fun.
