If you've somehow held off getting this so far, now is definitely the time to enjoy one of the most creative and engaging indie platformers around.

Not in the slightest bit sketchy, Max and the Magic Marker gives you a light hand in level design that results in something of a platforming gem.

A great platforming title with a fun cool gameplay twist. It doesn't quite seem as fresh an idea as it did on Wii over a year ago, especially with many unique physics games already on the AppStore and on other consoles since, such as Super Scribblenaughts.

The game has some fun puzzling elements and is generally fun to delve into for short bursts. For $1.99, Max and the Magic Marker is a cute and clever 4-Dimple offering.

It's no Super Scribblenauts, but if you like to concoct creative solutions to your problems, draw, pardner.

A solid port of an imaginative game that puts a lot of control in your hands.

Its colorful, childlike art and perky soundtrack will immediately draw you in and the fun of figuring out which shapes to draw in order to solve a challenging puzzle will appeal greatly to fans of platforming brain-teasers. Unhappily, what fun there is is undermined by squirrelly jumping controls and an overabundance of too-similar levels.

A very simple game, the physics and mechanics are very neat, the visuals are pleasing as it's very cartoonish, it would be loads of fun for children and mild amusement for older players. A fine enough way to pass the time but after the initial appeal wears off the game is not very memorable. Not sure what it's going for on the app store, but it's worth a buck or two if you're interested. Expand
