  • Summary: MaXplosion is a pick up and play platformer that challenges you to escape the clutches of the nefarious M.A.D. (Ministry of All Destruction) organization. Fortunately, as Max you have the ability to explode at will allowing you to “bounce” off surfaces and reach far flung locations. Max’s predilection to explode also comes in remarkably handy as an offensive weapon against the M.A.D. scientists and evil minions attempting to thwart your escape.

    - 20 explosive levels filled with interactive objects including Rotating Platforms, Water Jets, Lasers, Rideable Nukes, Missiles and more.
    - Three epic boss fights and six enemy types
    - Game Center Integration with 44 achievements and high score leaderboards for each of the 20 levels, as well as an overall high score leaderboard.
    - Post your high scores to Facebook.
    - Retro stylized cartoon artwork.

It works, but right handed people clearly have an advantage, since the developers neglected to include an option for left handed gamers.

MaXplosion might lack some of the depth of its rival, but given that it's less than a tenth of the price, it's entitled to. Buy both with the money you're not spending on beer tonight. Make everyone happy.

MaXplosion is the iPhone's version of bomb-packing platformer 'Splosion Man.
  4. Feb 5, 2011
The game is worth getting if you want to have some straightforward plat forming, but don't expect to have this on your device once you have finished it.
  5. Feb 27, 2011
MaXplosion comes with some nice graphics and a good number of levels, but the mediocre controls make the whole experience not so worthy.

It's an obvious clone of 'Splosion Man, but it's also a pretty good one - and in the world of gaming that's all that's ever really mattered.

Hey Capcom, next time when you get 'inspired' by a game, try and not do a shit job of it.
