To be honest, if not for Mega Run's bargain price of free, this app would not have found its way onto my iTouch. But I'm glad it did. The simple plat-former brings back fond memories of the original Mario. Gameplay is simple and addictive, yet it still retains a degree of challenge. Its short stages are perfect for bus rides or TV commercial breaks. Each level grants the player a 1-3 star rating in addition to the challenge of collecting three hidden "Forest Gems." There is also a leveling system that unlocks new playable characters and powerups to ensure replayability. Stages are constructed into separate segments of "track." Each time a stage is played, the order of the track segments is randomized to add a small sense of variability. The game fully playable without the need for IAPs, and the devs promise additional content soon. This is definitely an app worth checking out, regardless of age. Expand

As a kind of follow up to Get Set's Mega Jump, Mega Run offers everything great about Mega Jump, including characters, coin collection, upgradable power ups, and save stars, while retaining a fully separate game concept. Just like MegaJump, the controls are quite simple to learn, but mastering the game is certainly a challenge. This isn't the kind of game you can beat in a day, or even a week for that matter (assuming that you have a sense of when too much game time is too much). The addition of XP (experience points) allows you to level up and unlock new items, regardless of how skilled you are at the game. Definitely satisfying, Mega Run will keep you hooked. A minor disappointment was the background artwork in the different worlds; I preferred Mega Jump's intricately detailed worlds to the less unique and more cartoon-like illustrations of MegaRun. Some have complained about the way the worlds are divided into 16 separate levels with 3 stars and gems to earn for each individual stage, but this setup offers much more to "work for" rather than simply a higher score and height in MegaRun. This also provides more variety in the setups of each level as well. Although I would say that an endless level might be a fun option for Get Set to consider for those who have already fully mastered the game and want more entertainment, Mega style. Overall 8/10. Mega Run did a great Job with their game. Simple touch controls, similar with JetPack JoyRide, Rickshaw Dog or JetPack JoyRide it is very simple but lots of fun!

Mega Run - Redford's Adventure is a very well done running platform game, rich in content, completely free and extremely addictive.

Mega Run is a lovely game that oozes charm and will delight players of all ages. Even if you think you can't possibly bear to play another screen-tapping automatic runner, we're pretty sure you'll fall in love with Redford's adventure regardless.

Mega Run is still a fantastic auto-runner though. The choice for set levels was an inspired one, and it will take plenty of time to play and master them all. The fact that it looks great and has cloud saving is just the cherry on top.
