All in all, if you love the spooky, mystery subset of hidden object games, you will love The Cursed Heart.

Nightmares From the Deep: The Cursed Heart is kind of like the old pirates of yore: What it lacks in finesse, it makes up for in brute force. If refinement and attention to detail are a priority, then it will probably leave you cold. But if what you're after is a big pile of hidden object scenes and you're not too particular about how it's all tied together, this tale of tragedy on the high seas will fit the bill nicely.

It's just unfortunate that the harder difficulty level really doesn't feel that much harder than the standard level. It's a worthy game for fans of the genre and benefits greatly from some nice original touches. Just don't expect to be challenged.

I had a fun couple of hours beating Nightmares from the Deep HD, and there were still a lot of achievements left and a harder level of difficulty giving more hours of the same puzzles. If you want an adventure game set in a pirate world not too far from Pirates of the Caribbean this is definitely a nice option even for those not usually keen on hidden object games.

This game was just SUPERB!! I thought Sins of the Father was the best of the best, but this one sets the bar even higher! Incredible is the closest adjective to describe this game! Visually stunning videos and graphics, especially the individual videos for each coin! I don't think Skyrim or Diablo can touch those graphics! The hands and fingers of the protector of the chest were just stunning! The story of trying to rescue your daughter from a ghostly pirate was well-developed from beginning to end. The hidden object scenes were just right! The option to play mahjong was a nice touch! The puzzles were a little on the easy side, but in no way deters my opinion that the game was just incredible and fun to play. The bonus was too short, only because I would have loved to have kept playing!! Thank you to the developers and all the artists that made this final product! I cannot wait until you release your next game! Expand

Nightmares from the Deep is a really fun game. The visuals are amazing and the sound/music is great! I really gotta say that this is my favorite so far. I really like the hidden object scenes for a couple of reasons: sometimes you have to put items together or open an object to find the hidden object and you can play majong instead of finding the hidden object. For 99% of the hidden objects scenes I looked for the hidden objects, but one night I was really tired and wanted to continue through the story, so I played majong instead...loved it! Plus...with the collector's edition the story continues. Also, the level of challenge is rated on that I played this game on regular/easy level. The maps are helpful as well. Collapse
