Even though it doesn't set out to reinvent the wheel of physics-based racers, or serve as a visual departure from what the developers know best, Noble Nutlings is still a highly fun and highly quality title, and it shows that Boomlagoon have certainly set the bar high for themselves going forward.

One could think, that Noble Nutlings is the next Rovio trademark. It has physics engine, colorful characters and it's very easy to learn. The game is fun to play, but it doesn't triumph with original ideas. [March 2013]

Noble Nutlings is the kind of casual iOS game that's over way too soon. Not because it's lacking in content but because it's so easy to plow through everything in big chunks thanks to all the wacky fun.

A good but safe debut from the three-man team at Boomlagoon. Aside from its cute premise and racing-inspired gameplay, everything else feels like something we've seen dozens of times before on the App Store. Hopefully, the team will flex their creative muscles a little more in future titles.

Noble Nutlings is a fun racing/physics crossbreed, but the freemium system doesn't suit the game.

A noble effort for Noble Nutlings, but its combination of racing and balance mechanics don't completely hook the player.

Noble Nutlings is a solid first effort for Boomlagoon, offering fun, fast-paced courses and a wide-eyed cast of squirrels that we likely haven't seen the last of.

Angry Birds has nothing to fear from these squirrels.

A free-to-play offering, Noble Nutlings is a fun diversion, though its reliance on purchasable boost juice drops it to a 3-Dimple score.

A cynical, if predictable approach to monetisation also sours the experience.

The game has its faults and frustrations, but it also has its moments of enjoyment too, and there's undoubtedly the building blocks of a far more enjoyable game that we hope either an update, or a sequel, can introduce.

Noble Nutlings does little to stand out in a genre filled with stellar titles, but that doesn't make it a bad game.

Rather than a game created to hook people with strong gameplay or a novel idea, Noble Nutlings feels like it's all about the Benjamins. Pass.

Noble Nutlings tries to achieve that elusive Angry Birds-style charm and simplicity, but ends up being frustrating, expensive, and simply rather joyless.
