More than many other iPad games, Ozone HD strives to create a truly immersive user experience, with a mechanic that is at once familiar yet original. The result is definitely something other game developers should take note of, and other iPad owners should play.

Unpolished controls and technical snags take the wind out of pretty top-down platformer Ozone HD.

    Cheap and brilliant.

Instead of taking advantage of the extra screen acreage to provide big, easily-usable on-screen buttons that don't obscure the action, the game uses buttons that are, from my best estimates, the exact same size as the buttons from the iPhone version. That's a real shame, since the game looks absolutely beautiful on the iPad, so hopefully the button problem will see a fix in a future update.

But Ozone is something different, and something that should be heard of.
