Papa Sangre is survival-horror, where you're cast into the land of the dead, using 360 degree sound to avoid creatures, save lost souls and avoid being torn apart; intense.

Papa Sangre is a great experiment that can frighten the player without the use of images. During the night, in the dark and while in bed, the game is absolutely scary. Probably an idea like this could have been explored more and better, and there are no reasons to replay the adventure a second time. Maybe the price can seem a little high for some users, and the lack of an Italian translation is an obstacle for many. Anyway, if you are looking for a really creepy and fresh experience you should buy Papa Sangre with closed eyes. Literally.

It's a great experience, but I think you need to be in the proper state of mind to enjoy it, and even then I'd lean more towards describing the game as "this is really neat" rather than "this is really fun."

For a while, Papa Sangre is a wonderful novelty. Unfortunately, the further you get, the more trial-and-error annoyance starts to put a crimp on your enjoyment.

Papa Sangre is a true horror game, as you are stripped of your pivotal sense – sight – and plunged into a desperate survival situation where you can only rely on your ears. At first, it's disconcerting. But if you play in an ideal environment (quiet, low lights), Papa Sangre is a wonderful gaming experience.

While it's conceptually brilliant, Papa Sangre isn't all that fun to play.

The monster that's unseen is far worse than anything that could be legitimately shown on screen and far more realistic too; Papa Sangre makes use of this 'theater of the mind' to create an immersive and chilling survival title.

Papa Sangre really is one of the most unique games out there on the App Store. It's clever use of binaural audio and Hollywood quality voice acting and sound makes it a game that I will show off again and again to my friends.

Papa Sangre is an engineering marvel, and it is a game that should be experienced by every iOS gamer out there.(if you have a 3GS/4/iPad)

Papa Sangre may not completely knock your socks off with the fun factor, but it's still well worth checking out for the wholly innovative and inspired "ear-opening" experience.

The binaural sound makes you really imerse into this world. The narrator gets its job done and frequently has dubius positioning (is she really a friend)? Full Review »
