    Despite our frustration with the lack of mid-level checkpoints, Red Star is a beautiful and elegantly executed iPhone port of a PS2 game.

    Despite those problems though this is a great action title offering an intense mix of fighting, shooting and adventure. However, casual gamers beware!… this is hardcore through and through.

    Red Star boasts astonishing production values and challenging gameplay, but the tacked-on touch controls and unforgiving difficulty are frustrating.

    As much as I wanted to rave about this one, I must begrudgingly admit that those who love freedom would probably be better served hunting down a copy of the PS2 version or downloading it for PSP.
