Repulze is just the first part of the real game, but the result is good and promising; if developers will successfully expand the content, it could become one of the best racing game in the App Store.

Repulze combines Wipeout with a polarity mechanic, that while interesting tends to fight against the player.

Repulze may not be as feature packed as some of its rivals, but the focused gameplay and stunning visuals ensure that speed lovers will extract full entertainment value from it.

Despite the lack of true competitive racing, Repulze provides a remarkably polished bout of sci-fi racing.

Repulze is refreshing in its straightforwardness and execution, preferring to be excellent at one simple thing -- visually and mechanically -- than mediocre at several.

Introductory jostles aside, holding Repulze to the exact standards of WipEout or its ilk would be missing the point of its snack-sized packaging. Ultimately, games like this should serve as complements to their genre forerunners.

Repulze is a slick futuristic racer with some spotty controls that (thankfully) can be fine tuned to fit just about anyone's needs. However, anyone who also needs real competition will find nothing but disappointment when they realize there aren't any other people or AI racers to take on.

Where others have merely replicated, Pixelbite has managed to innovate with its polarity boost mechanics, and it's a game that deserves a place on any racing fan's phone.
