Regardless of the matchmaking shortcomings, Scrabble on the iPad is an excellent game and obvious replacement for the physical board game. For $10, it's a fantastic buy that shouldn't be missed for any particular reason besides illiteracy.

Great local multiplayer features and generally clever design earn this iPad version of Scrabble a word of praise.

If you're a fan of Scrabble, then this is a great portable version. It's everything you could ask for and a little bit more.

The other and perhaps more important addition is the auto dictionary, no longer will you argue with friends or siblings over whether ZYMURGY is a real word (it is!). The game simply checks all words as you play, and of course adds up the scores for you.

The same as Mass Effect 2? Sure it is an improvement over the board game, but it is a dull piece of **** compared to almost anything that you can find just by walking into a game shop. For my £6.50 I would rather go into the used section and buy myself such gems as Fallout 3/New Vegas, Thief 2, Deus Ex and GTA3, to name a few. If you are determined to play the best version of scrabble there is, buy this, but that is like being king of the sewers. Buy something better. Full Review »

This game uses words that aren't words...foistier? Really? Then they give themselves 50 extra points for using a 7 letter word that doesn't exist. Also, I don't play Magic.
Using EDH as a word (which is a Commander in Magic) is wrong. You also need to know every variation of chemistry and all foods known in the world. When the computer gets a 'Q' invariably it also has a U. I would only have all four U's and no Q. Very frustrating. Just wanted to play a competitive game with real words-- for a game I liked. Back to my PC and POGO Scrabble. It's free and doesn't increase my blood pressure :)
