Slingshot Racing is a fresh take on racing games and is a shining example of a game that's well-suited to the touch screen and the mobile nature of iOS devices.
Slingshot Racing is a ton of fun. The quick sessions make it perfect for pick-up-and-play gameplay, the grappling hook mechanic is very easy to learn, yet difficult to truly master. Snowbolt and Crescent Moon have absolutely nailed this game.
Not only is Slingshot Racing a lot of fun thanks to its simple and original mechanics, but it's also true eye-candy, boasting ultra crisp and detailed visuals.
Slingshot Racing is as smooth graphically as it is in its tether turning system, and it's well worth a spin into your app library.
I have to rate the game separately when it comes to the single player, and multiplayer experience. The difference is huge, and if I give it a combined rating it might go un-noticed, as it is one of the best same device simultaneous multiplayer games released for iOS to date. It is a shame that the single player campaign isn't as rewarding.
Proof that you can deliver a fast-paced, thoroughly entertaining racing experience on touchscreen with a bit of creative inspiration. It's definitely worth giving a fling.
Slingshot Racing is a breath of fresh air and a true testament to the distinguishing creativity that you can find in the App store. We just wish there was a little bit more to it.
