Snuggle Truck may have lost some of its message in its style transition, but the game is still incredibly fun.

If you are a fan of 2D physics based platformers such as Alpine Crawler or Alpine Crawler Wild Snuggle Truck is a must have game.

After a controversy-laden development cycle that saw the game roar into the gaming consciousness like a lion only to see it peter out in the final hours like a lamb upon release, Snuggle Truck has retained its core gameplay and polished presentation without the stigma of making a political statement.

Taken as it is Snuggle Truck may not be quite as hilarious as originally intended, but the fun gameplay still shines through and conquering each challenge is a blast thanks to the simple controls and varied challenges.

An absolutely adorable, albeit frustrating physics-based game for the mobile platform.

On the iPhone, the game has lost all of its hilarity and satirical message. The gameplay is still very fun, but only the latest levels can offer a real challenge, while the routes are incoherent and not much various.

It's lost some edge and coherence in transit, but Snuggle Truck's lighter tone is arguably a better fit for its blend of knockabout physics-based fun.
  8. Apr 28, 2011
Whether you call it Snuggle Truck or Smuggle Truck, this game is an absolute blast.

The truck controls well, the physics respond well, and the level design has that right mix of snappiness and intrigue.

Like the truck on those levels this game has its ups and downs. Advantages are easy to use controls and good idea about incorporating the fuzzies on the back of the truck. I've also enjoyed the menus although this way of developing them closes any possibilities for future localizations. On the upside it's actually quite fun to play. It really is. Unfortunately only for about 30 minutes in which you can pass through almost all levels (4 dif. set.) without much of a motivation to stop for a while and repeat any one of them. This game does not offer any interesting level design ideas throughout the whole "campaign"... none. You start by driving a car from left to right and you and that way. The only different thing is the amount of bumps along the way... Full Review »
