"Space Invaders Infinite Gene is an amazing effort by Taito to bring a fresh and modern version of Space Invaders to the iPhone.
The loads of unlockables, varied gameplay and music-generated levels should give this game a long shelf life on your iPhone. If it's not obvious by now, we highly recommend buying this game."

A best-of-breed shooter that sets the standard for arcade revivals done right.
  2. Feb 25, 2011
Infinity Gene takes the iPhone very seriously as a hand held game console and it does so with all the polish an arcade giant like Taito can give it.
  3. Feb 25, 2011
The best action shooter I have ever played on any system anywhere. Nuff said, go get it now!
  4. Feb 25, 2011
Few games have managed to enhance their own reputation and addictiveness as admirably as Infinity Gene. It's the 1978 arcade classic happening all over again, now.
  5. Feb 25, 2011
Space Invaders: Infinity Gene heaves and grows through infancy to maturity. It's rare that a game builds into its play arc those design iterations it went through from inception to completion. Yet this is exactly what Taito has achieved: leading players from beginning to end, providing a mesmerising journey through both the game and its genre's conceptual history.
  6. Feb 25, 2011
Vivid, smart and perhaps a little mocking, then, Infinity Gene, like Extreme, has exchanged the cold depths of space for the trippy vortex of some strange digital migraine: this classic isn't growing old with grace, but it's certainly continuing to evolve.
  7. Feb 25, 2011
Interesting development of a series that really needed it. [Oct 2009, p.81]

I am honestly baffled that a rock-simple and ancient game like Space Invaders could be given such a lively and absurdly addictive remake like this. For a few bucks on a mobile platform, this is an easy sell. Expand

This game takes the fun of the original Space Invaders game. It is sad that such a good game and concept can be ruined with this crazy remake that is a waste of $4.99. Don't by this game. It is not enjoyable to play whatsoever. Expand
