Being of solid concept and immaculate presentation, Spirit is an easy recommendation.

With its psychedelic vector-like graphics, Spirit can easily be confused as a Geometry Wars clone. Instead, the game is an original and satisfying arena shooter: creating portals is a great and amusing option, but while proceeding through the levels, the player will probably realize that it doesn't suits good on the iPhone.

A simple game with great presentation and fluid controls. All it needs now is achivements and online leaderboards to round out the experience.

Being an avid fan of geoDefense and Spirit's visual style resembling parts of that, the game just seemed to click with me. Controls were both fluid and responsive.

Learning to move your ship accurately is a bit of a challenge, but in that "gotta try one more time" kind of way.

You can't expect to be great at Spirit the first time you pick it up, but it's definitely a unique and well-crafted game that's worth a look.
