  • Summary: Steambirds: Survival will feature eight high-flying aircraft and 64 expansive missions at launch - with several free updates scheduled to be released soon afterwards. Each aircraft in the game has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, which will force players to think strategically to conquer their Axis opponents.     It's a top-down dog-fighting game where you play a pilot with the Allies, fighting against the Axis powers, to protect the United Kingdom. But the cool twist is that it's also turn-based.

    While it can't pretend to be breaking entirely new ground, SteamBirds: Survival manages to refine the concept of the original and turn it into something even more tense, gripping and addictive.

    The free to play elements are particularly odious here, but if the ads were toned down or removed entirely, the experience would be a lot better.
