The first time around the only thing that really held STREET FIGHTER IV back was the lack of online multiplayer; Volt fixes this while bundling a few extras.

This newest release can easily stand up to Street Fighter 2 as one of the best in the series.

Street Fighter IV was already an amazing iOS game, and Volt just adds to that.

The highly anticipated online multiplayer isn't quite up to par technically, but it can still provide some pretty entertaining moments.

If online play, new characters, and practically infinite replay value doesn't sound good to you, don't waste your money. For the rest of you, go buy Street Fighter 4: Volt now!

If you're not the type of gamer who likes to get their butt handed to them time and time again by an endless parade of strangers, Street Fighter IV: Volt is probably not for you. But if you're already a fan of the Street Fighter series, chances are you're always up for the challenge of a real fighter. If that's the case, you should consider Volt essential gaming for the multiplayer fighting fan.

All we need, at this point, is for the developers to crack down on rage quitting and improve the tiny bit of lag that crops up. In its current state, though, Street Fighter IV Volt is still the best App Store brawler. Highly recommended.

For fighting game fans who haven't played the original Street Fighter IV on iOS, this is the version to get.

Despite the laggy online, Street Fighter IV Volt: Battle Protocol is a good addition to the original formula that newcomers will enjoy.

We'd prefer Street Fighter 4 Volt to be a combination of an update and in-app purchases for the original game, instead of a separate download. It doesn't have enough content to warrant a new purchase, unless online play is what you've been waiting for.

If you didn't buy SF4 the first time around the horn, you're getting the most value from the newer app.

You have expectations when you see Capcom's logo as a game loads up, particularly with its flagship titles. Shoddy workmanship isn't one.

With time we hope that Capcom can nail down the problems affecting net play, but as it stands Street Fighter IV Volt is best appreciated by newcomers and should be approached with caution if you already own the original release.
