A must-have for any fan of the new cartoon, save for those who might hate endless runners. Even then, we'd urge you to give this one a chance, as it just may sway your opinion. Michael Bay news/rumors aside, Nickelodeon has otherwise done a stellar job managing the franchise since acquiring it, and this game continues that trend.

TMNT Rooftop Run makes for a rollicking good time, especially if you enjoy runners but crave a recipe with some spice.

A very solid endless runner that blends jumping and attacking with only a single tap. Locking the additional characters after making your initial choice may be a deal breaker for some.

If you don't mind playing as Donatello for a while, then cowabunga! Or is it booyakasha?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run is a fun, competent endless runner with nice visuals, although we're not fans of its steep in-app purchases.

This rooftop scramble is hugely playable, but is undermined somewhat by the greedy in-app purchasing system which saps away some of the enjoyment.

For the most part, though, the non-stop action, drive to achieve Turtle Power and the various goodies in the shop are enough to keep us playing. On that note, and if you're willing to put up with its warts, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run will provide quite a few hours of foot stomping fun.

A decent endless runner with some impressive graphics and clever one-touch control ideas. However the audio can get pretty irritating, Turtle Time gets repetitive, and the one-touch mechanics need a good deal of refinement.

Action on the Roof plays nicely, but definitely isn't an ode to the Turtles. It's too monotonous and simple for that. It's fun for that Turtle-vibe, but no keeper.

The Turtles finally come to iOS in the form of a lacklustre Endless Runner that demands a lot of grinding or in-app purchases.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run ($1.99, Universal) is neither good nor bad, and just another endless runner that doesn’t even take the ninja turtles theme to heart. A game needs to be better than mediocre to deserve your time, making TMNT: Rooftop Run worth skipping with better choices out there.
