Might be limited to a single game mode, but it comes packed with excellent gameplay worthy of that one more go over and over again. Definitely recommended for the hardcore gamer looking for a casual game.

Despite a good premise, The Blocks Cometh doesn't engage its audience. To be clear, it's not a bad game, and the graphics are pretty nice, likewise the good chiptune music. But unfortunately the contents are poor and the lack of variety is clear. Besides few unlockable characters and some achievements, the player doesn't have many reasons to keep the game on his iPhone for long.

We keep coming back for more, largely because the developers did an excellent job making it seem easier than it is, like doing a keg stand or tying a cherry stem with one's tongue. What? Not everyone can do that? Nonsense. Well, in this case, we spend upwards of 30 minutes failing to break 200 meters.

Killer pixel graphics and awesome music make you want to love The Blocks Cometh, but the crowded controls keep you from embracing it fully.
